Happy Easter!

Hello, family!
Happy Easter!
I don't have time to write, but just know that things are swell here in Providence.
I wake up every single day happy, knowing that I am in the service of my Lord.
This week was great. We had many miracles occur (as always).
We have several investigators progressing towards baptism and I love the people more than ever.
I don't ever want to leave!
My heart is happy as I think of the Savior this week as we celebrate his resurrection.
I testify that He lives.
He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world.
I stand all amazed...

Lasting Conversion

Wow.

I love the mission.

This week was phenomenal. I am witnessing the lasting conversion of Kimberly Ordonez. She is absolutely wonderful. She is preparing to be baptized on Easter Sunday. We've been teaching her for only 3 weeks and she's come SO far. She's faithfully living the commandments and is "intensely preparing" (in her own words) for her baptism. I LOVE HER. She came out with us to help teach some of our other investigators and on Sunday, she helped the elders teach a primary class. She's truly the Lord's elect and was so prepared. I feel so humbled and grateful to watch her transformation. The Gospel blesses lives!

Our two investigators, Varinia and Valeria, are also preparing to be baptized on Easter Sunday. They are unbelievable sweet and sooo excited to be baptized!

We are also teaching a Domincan family 7 women who just came from the DR a couple months ago. They came to church yesterday for the first time and LOVED it! I ADORE them. They're beautiful people.

Well, I'm basically in denial that I'm going home in 6 weeks.
They should probably let sisters serve for 2 years hahaha
I love the mission.
The Church is true!

Let Go And Let GOD

Dearly beloved family,

This. Week. Was. GREAT.

We had MLC, where all the leaders got together and we received revelation and guidance on the work. SUPER spiritual.

We put on Zone Meeting on Friday with our zone and I learned SO much.
We talked about Letting Go and LETTING GOD.

For so long I've stood in the way of God and His work.
I am finally discovering how to just let go and let Him do His work through me.
IT FEELS SO GOOD!
He led us to find 10 new investigators this week, 4 of whom already have a baptismal date.
SO amazing. God is just toooooo good.

I wanted to tell you a little bit about one of my investigators.
Her name is Kimberly. She is AMAZING.
She is being changed by the Gospel and I feel so lucky to be a witness of it.
The Gospel truly blesses us! I am seeing it firsthand in her life.
Kimberly is from Honduras and she's 19.
She is an artist and I swear God called me here for her!
She is preparing to be baptized on March 27th (EASTER!). I really hope I can introduce you all to her someday. I love her!

We are also teaching a family called the Monterroso family. They are BEAUTIFUL. They're Guatemalans and we knelt in prayer with them this week. They're super prepared and we've only taught them like twice, but every time we teach them it's a SUPER spiritual experience.
They are AMAZING.

Last night, we taught Valeria and Varinia, two little girls whose mother is from Bolivia and who is a member. They've never been baptized, however, so we're teaching them the missionary discussions and they were begging their mom last night to be baptized! God is sending us to His prepared children! It's such a blessing. They are preparing to be baptized on Easter as well. :)

I love this work.
It truly means everything to me.
God is good and it feels so good to surrender to His will, because He leads us to miracles and blessings and happiness each day.
Give it a try.

LET GO & LET GOD!

Hermana Webber

Specific Prayers

Wow. I will never forget this week. One of the best of my mission.

We had exchanges with the Portuguese sisters, Sister Couto and Sister Capece, and I spent the day with an African goddess. Hahaha She is from Mozambique! We had a great day together. Some of our appointments fell through, but the Holy Spirit led us to the home of Oscar Monterroso, who was baptized as a member of the church when he was 12 years old in Guatemala, but since coming to the USA (nearly 20 years ago), has never gone to church. He's not on any of the our records, we just decided to knock on his door. The Lord truly guides His servants. He told us to call him and that we could come visit him.

Well, the next day we had a SPECIAL MLC. Two men from the board of proselyting in Salt Lake City came to visit our mission and train the leaders, Brother Hemmingway & Brother Donaldson. They are MASTER teachers. It was super cool because ALL the power was out in the Weston chapel where we met, and they'd planned on showing us lots of videos/presentations/etc. but instead, we all ended up in the Relief Society room (which was the best sunlit room in the building) and we discussed, learned and were trained. What we learned was 100% led by His Spirit. I'm so grateful the power didn't work that day!

They taught us SO many things. My big take away was to truly let God do His work through me. I often get in His way, but I am working on letting the Holy Spirit guide.

After our special meeting on Thursday, Hermana Hafen and I decided to put to practice what we'd learned. They'd taught us a lot about finding the Lord's "elect," and if you want to find the people who are truly prepared to receive the gospel, you've gotta ask the Lord to lead you to them. Be SPECIFIC.

MIRACLE:
On Thursday night, as we planned out our day, we sought guidance on what to do between the hours of 5-7. As we prayed, a very strong impression came to me that we should go visit Oscar, the man I'd met on exchanges with Sister Capece. We penciled it in and went to bed.

Friday morning, Hermana Hafen and I decided we were going to be REALLY specific with the Lord. We prayed and asked Him to lead us to a family with two children, and a father who has a job.

Miraculously, we found TWO families.

We'd gone to visit a recent convert (14 year old Frederick from Guatemala), but his mom wasn't home, so we couldn't go inside. We asked him if he wanted to come knock on the door across the street from his house with us. He agreed because he's great, and we ended up finding Jill, Antonio, and Anaya, an ADORABLE little family Jill LOVES Jesus Christ and teaches he TWO kids all about him. He husband owns two companies. We taught them the first lesson, gave them all Books of Mormon, and they invited to come and teach them more.

GOD IS SO GOOD.

Then, that night, we went and visited Oscar, as we'd planned. We discovered he has a wife and together, they have four sons, none of whom know about the church. Oscar also has a job... We taught them how to pray and set up another appointment for tomorrow.

GOD IS GREAT.

If you ask him a specific question, He will give you a specific answer.

I love the Lord.
It breaks my heart to know I only have 2 months left as a full time missionary.
I will live the rest of my live as His disciple.
I love you all!
God guides this work.
It's HIS work.

Sorry I'm not good at writing home haha

Hello.
So, I've been in Providence for about a month and I figured it was about time to send you my new address. :)

57 Petteys Ave. Providence, RI 02909
There it is!
Sorry about last week.
Apparently myldsmail.net wasn't working, which explains why none of my emails went through.
We got to go to the temple on Monday, though. We took Felipe Duvon, who is a recent convert from Guatemala, and he was baptized for his deceased father and grandfather.
THE CHURCH IS TRUE!
We also took pictures outside the temple doing heel clicks. I'll send some pictures so you can appreciate it.
Highlights from the past two weeks:
- We had a great Zone Conference! The Spirit was tangible!
- We received STRAIGHT UP REVELATION from The Lord as to what we need to do here in Providence. The Lord is with us. Truly, he is.
- I got to go back to Boston for a night and see one of my investigators get baptized! Her name is Iluminada "Julie" Hernandez and she is ADORABLE. She had asked me to come back and give a talk about the Holy Ghost. Her baptism was beautiful and I got to see many people that I love so dearly.
- We were in the service of the Lord. That's always a highlight.
- Exchanges with the Providence sisters. I learned a lot as always and we picked up a new investigator at a World Famous restaurant called N.Y. System Hot Weenies. Look it up. It's delicious.
- Exchanges with the Central Falls sisters. We found 7 new investigators that day. A family of 5 women who just came to Rhode Island from the Dominican Republic. They are absolutely ADORABLE. We are going to start working pretty closely with them starting this week.
"Morale is high!"
The Church is true.
I love my mish!
I love you all!!!

No Time!

Hello, beautiful family!
I don't have any time to write today because we are about to go eat pupusas with our Bishop here in Providence... Hahahah Anything for the kingdom!!!
Anyways, things are great here. I love this area.
It's an area filled with miracles every single day.
We had MLC this week and I learned a lot. We talked about the role of the Holy Ghost and what helps us increase the power with which we teach.
It snowed a lot this week, and we got stuck inside the chapel one of these days, but things turned out just fine. We even had to postpone our zone meeting a day because the roads were pretty bad. Our zone meeting was great. We all committed to being a model zone for our mission. The Spirit was strong and the church is true. I love the Lord!
Also, Cruz was baptized this week. Which was a huge tender mercy from the Lord.
His baptism was beautiful and he has a beautiful testimony! :)
Have a great week, everyone! I hope I'll have more time next week, but we might be at the temple, so I can't make any promises. I'll be sending some pictures soon too. :)

This Is LOB City

Love & Obedience = Baptisms

So, I'm in my new area.
New zone.
New companion.
New people.

This is LOB City.
This zone is a special place.

Hermana Hafen, is my new companion. She's from St. George, Ut. and she is practically perfect in every way. I'm not kidding. She is extremely Christlike and I cannot wait to learn from her. It's only her 2nd transfer in the mission, but she seems as if she's been out forever. She is wonderful.
We work with Elder Cagle and Elder Felt. Elder Felt is fresh out of the missionary training center and Elder Cagle is new to the area too. They are GREAT elders and I'm super stoked to work with them!

In the month of January, our zone had a goal to find 132 new investigators. Although I wasn't here to witness all the miracle finding for most of the month, I arrived here with just 4 days left in the month. We still had a ways to go to accomplish the goal, and Hermana Hafen and I have been in charge of keeping track of how many investigators have been found and updating the zone through text messages about our progress. We told the zone that if we reached our goal, they could throw a pie in ours and the Zone Leaders faces at the next Zone Meeting. That lit us up a little!

Yesterday, the last day of January, we started off the day needing 10 more to accomplish our goal. Everyone went out and worked hard, and by the time 8:30 rolled around, we only needed 6 more. Hermana Hafen and I had been going around to visit potential investigators all day, but had no luck... We decided to go by Joselyn's (an adorable Recent Convert from Guatemala who is preparing for a mission!). None of her family are members of the church. We shared a message about the Book of Mormon with her mom, and she agreed to taking the missionary discussions!

We only needed FIVE more.

It was 9:15 and we sent out a text to the zone, announcing we only had 15 minutes to find five more investigators... Then, A MIRACLE HAPPENED!

Hermana Hafen and I were prompted to stop by a home that we had already visited twice that day, but they hadn't answered. They were a potential family from Guatemala. We prayed REALLY hard, and knocked one last time.

At 9:15 they answered the door and let us in.
We entered, taught them how to pray, invited them to hear our message and set up a return appointment. The entire family.
Five of them!

GOD IS SO GOOD.
We immediately prayed to thank the Lord for blessing us with the faith to knock one more time and to witness a MIRACLE. His hand is ever present. He is truly with his missionaries, and I am a personal witness of that.
We are teaching a family here, Alexis, Lesbia and Daniel, and we set a baptismal date with them last night. They are preparing to be baptized on February 21st. This is a great area. I am following in the footsteps of some fantastic missionaries and I feel so blessed serve.
I love the Lord.
Love,
Hermana Webber

I'm Getting Transferred!

This week was another great one here in Boston!

We found 5 new investigators and set a baptismal date with four of them in the first lesson! God is so good to us. He literally guides every step we take.

One thing I've learned a lot here in Boston is that God's hand is present EVERY SINGLE DAY of our lives. It's our job to look around and recognize it.

On Friday we received news about transfers...
I'm leaving Boston after 7 and 1/2 months.
I'm going to PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island!
Man, I am SO excited! I will probably finish my mission there.

Hermana VerHoef was called as a Sister Training Leader here in our zone. I am really proud of her and excited for her. She is going to continue to do GREAT things here, not only for her investigators, but for the missionaries too. She is a great missionary.

On Wednesday, I'll meet my new companion. Her name is Hermana Hafen. She's been out for just 6 weeks, but she and I have been called to serve as Sister Training Leaders in the Providence North zone, so she must be AMAZING! I met her at the temple this week and she seems SO kind. I am stoked to work with her. Stay tuned on more info about what she's like! :)

What I learned in Boston...

I don't think I could ever put into words how much the past 5 transfers here in Boston meant to me. My time here truly changed me.
I think the most important thing I learned in this area (there are SO many thing... Obedience, diligence, faith, hope...) is LOVE.
The enduring power of the pure love of Christ... Charity.
I've been blessed to receive a portion of this love for the people here in this branch. I love them beyond my own understanding and this area is truly my home. It will be hard to leave, but God needs me in Providence, and I'll go where he wants me to be!

I am ready to run. I'm gonna give it my all.
There is no time to stop!
I love you all. Thank you for your love and support.
It means more to me than you could ever know.
God lives.
Christ's church still stands.
Some people call us Mormons,
but we are LATTER DAY SAINTS,
and we will spread His Gospel until it's touched every corner of the earth.

I LOVE YOU!
Love,
Hermana Webber

Hector

This week was a week of miracles in Boston.
We found 5 new investigators, taught 23 lessons, and best of all...

Hector Castillo was baptized.

So, last Sunday we met with him and he wasn't sure he had a testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon... We worked with him everyday this week to help him resolve that concern. We tried everything we could think of! President Miller met with him on Tuesday night and bore his testimony of the Book of Mormon. It was such a powerful meeting and Hector ended up asking President Miller if he would baptize him. He still wasn't sure about The Book of Mormon, however. Our next appointment with him was on Friday, and we knew it had to be something special. This man needed a SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE.

We had the thought of taking him to the temple. So, on Friday night, we borrowed headed to Belmont and sat outside the temple and had the most spiritual lesson of my mission!

We called his parents from Guatemala (who are both recent converts to the church! Rene is his father.). And we talked about how testimony is similar to a puzzle (we even used a real puzzle to demonstrate). Sometimes we have pieces of our testimony, but we haven't connected them to see the big picture.

His sweet parents bore their testimony to him over the phone, then his brother Carlos testified of Joseph Smith and The Book of Mormon. We sang, "Grand Eres Tu" and bore our testimonies to him. I asked him how he felt and he said, "joyful." We explained that was the Spirit, touching his heart and showing him the way.

That same night, we drove back into Boston where our zone leader interviewed Hector for baptism. He came out and congratulated us, because Hector was ready.

The next day, Hector was baptized by President Miller. He even said the baptismal prayer in Spanish for Hector. This experience has forever changed me.

The Castillo's are my mission! :)
I'm gonna be there when they are all sealed as a family.

I cannot boast of myself, for I know that God is the reason these things occurred this week. He is a God of MIRACLES and He blessed me beyond my understanding to be able to teach this family.

I love this work!
I love you all!
Thank you so much for your love and support.

Missionary Life Is The Best Life!

This week was exhausting!
Exhausting weeks are the best weeks. :)

We moved out of our apartment and now we have roommates! Whoooooo! We live with the English sisters and they are SO much fun.

We've been picking up potential investigators left and right!
Our members have been giving us several referrals and we are working really hard to find new people to teach!

We picked up a new investigator last night who is PREPARED. His name is German. He is Dominican and he's 34 years old. We taught him in a Barber Shop in Jamaica Plain. So classy.
He is amazing. He doesn't drink coffee, tea, alcohol and he doesn't smoke cigarettes. He's practically Mormon already! Hahaha he has GREAT faith in the Savior, as well. We taught him about Joseph Smith and the lesson went so well.

Our dear investigator, Juan, who we found back in September, can come to church now! He couldn't before because he had work, but he can come now, which means he can get baptized now! :) What a miracle. :)

With moving this week, we weren't able to go out and proselyte as much as usual, but on Saturday we got to go out and work all day and it reminded me of the happiness that comes when you embark in the service of God. I guess I take it for granted sometimes, my call as a missionary. Being a missionary is the happiest thing a person could ever do.

We are meeting with Hector, who is planning on being baptized on Saturday, to help him resolve some concerns he has before he gets baptized. He is so great. He's Rene's son, and I love him with all my heart!

I just love the people! I love this life. If I could, I would live like this forever.
It's such a tender mercy to me that God would allow me to come and do this work for 18 months.
I feel lucky and blessed to have this mission.
I love my mission.

I hope you all have a really happy week!
Be happy! Life is beautiful.

Consecration (Happy New Year!)

A story has been told about a chicken and a pig who found themselves discussing their contributions to the farmer's breakfast table. The hen bemoaned having to donate her eggs for the breakfast. The pig replied, "Yes, but for you, it's just a small sacrifice. For me, it's a total commitment."

Are we the type of church member who gives everything we have, everything we are, to the building up of God's kingdom here on earth?
Or, like the chicken, do we only occasionally contribute?

We've been learning a lot about consecration recently.
At the end of my mission, I really want to be able to look back and say that I truly did serve God with all my "heart, might, mind and strength."
I love this consecration thing.

I promise, there is nothing on the planet that brings more peace, more joy, than consecrating ourselves to God. Giving EVERYTHING we are and hope to be to him. Turning our will over to him and doing what He wants.

We had a great week. I learned a lot and I love the mission.
I could never repay the Lord for the thousands of tender mercies, miracles, and blessings He's poured out upon me as I've served. The year 2015 changed me. God is so good to me.

and in 2016, I am turning myself over to him!

I LOVE YOU ALL!
Happy New Year. :)

Feliz Navidad/Book of Mormon Challenge!

Feliz Navidad!

Christmas...

It was the greatest day.

Hector, our investigator that we've been working with for months, committed to being baptized January 16th.
This was the greatest Christmas gift I received this season.

The close second was talking to my family! I feel so insanely blessed to have a family so supportive, so loving, and so uplifting. I am a lucky girl.

We are working harder than ever. We received a training on the 23rd about being a CONSECRATED missionary. I am gonna dedicate everything I have to this work for my last few transfers. Every piece of my heart. Every cell in my body. Everything.

I love my calling as a missionary. it has taught me so many things. I think one of the most important things I've learned from serving is the enabling and healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. God doesn't expect me to be a perfect missionary. However, he do expect me to do my BEST and when I don't, the grace of the Savior makes up for the rest.

It's divine.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone.
How can you consecrated yourself more to The Lord?

Love,
Hermana Webber

A Savior Is Born

FELIZ NAVIDAD!

Wow, this year has been so full of miracles, lessons, and love! It's honestly been one of the greatest of my life. For my Christmas email, I just want to testify of our Lord and Savior, The Son of God, even Jesus Christ.

Everyone is pretty familiar with the Christmas story in the Bible (Luke 2, etc.), but I want to share with you the Christmas story from the Book of Mormon.

In Helaman 14:1-8 Samuel the Lamanite, a prophet of God in the ancient Americas, testifies of the signs of Christ's birth.
The signs were a new star and a day without a night.
Later on in Helaman, all they that believe in the words of Samuel are baptized, but there are many unbelievers that say it is unreasonable to believe in the coming of a Savior.

In 3 Nephi 1, the Nephites that believed in Christ were threatened by the unbelievers, that if the signs prophesied by Samuel the Lamanite did not come to pass before a certain deadline, they would be killed.
On the night before the deadline of the massacre, one of the Nephite prophets (his name was Nephi) prayed to the Lord and asked for help.

In 3 Nephi 1:11-15 Christ himself speaks to Nephi, in an answer to his prayer, and tells him to not worry. For that night, he would come unto the world.
That night, the signs testified of by Samuel the Lamanite came to pass, and although Christ was born in the eastern hemisphere, far, far away from the people of Nephi, they all witnessed the undeniable signs of the coming of The Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Two things I LOVE about the Christmas story from the Book of Mormon...

1. The fact that Christ's birth saved thousands of lives in the ancient Americas. If the signs hadn't appeared, the Nephite people surely would have suffered. Isn't that something? Christ was literally a SAVIOR from the very moment of his birth.
2. On the night of His birth, The Lord saw it fit to speak to Nephi and to comfort him. Another example of Christ's selflessness and mission of bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. I know that if we have faith, and ask The Lord, He will comfort us in any moment, in any hour, and in any need.

What a blessing it is to have a SAVIOR.
I testify that He is the Christ. I know that it is in Him, and Him only, that we can receive eternal life and exaltation. I hope we can all remember our loving and humble Savior, not just this Friday, but every single day.

I LOVE YOU ALL!
Merry Christmas!!!

Love,
Hermana Webber

PS This week we had a mini missionary stay the weekend with us. Her name was Amanda Wood, from Western Massachusetts and we had a really successful day with her! We taught an entire family and they fed us a Dominican dinner and then we picked up a SOLID new investigator named Eduardo. He's great. He's Puerto Rican. :)

God is so GOOD!

The Massachusetts Boston Mission is ZION

Dear Family,

Merry Almost Christmas!!!

This week was crazy.

We've gone on several exchanges with the sisters in our zone because one of our sisters is really sick. I spent all day with her on Saturday while our companions went out and worked in our areas. It was the first day of my whole mission that I've stayed home. I learned SO much. Sister Lima and I spent the day praying together, and talking, and studying scripture. I learned so much from her.

Hermana VerHoef and I are involved in a Christmas Musical Fireside that our mission is putting on. We've been travelling the mission for practices and last night we had our first performance in Rhode Island. It was really successful! There were about 200 people there and it was a great missionary tool!

Tonight we have another performance in Cambridge, MA. I am so excited! There are some incredibly talented missionaries in this mission!

Hermana VerHoef and I are staying together for another transfer! This will be my fifth transfer in Boston and I couldn't be happier. This place is my home. :)

We had Zone Meeting this week and also a Zone Conference where an apostle came to visit our mission! He talked about the language of the Spirit and how we can constantly live worthy to have the Spirit with us. :) The conference was a huge learning experience for Hermana VerHoef and I. We were also asked to sing for it, and we performed, "Lord, I Would Follow Thee."

At Zone Meeting our zone spent some time bearing our testimonies to one another. The Spirit was tangible in the room as we all told each other our stories. It was an indescribable experience and I was reminded how important it is to build ZION wherever you go.

The Massachusetts Boston Mission is ZION.

I love you all!
Good things are gonna happen to us this week, because Hermana VerHoef and I are getting a mini missionary! A young woman is going to come spend the weekend with us and we are going to take her out and show her how much fun it is to serve God with all your heart, might, mind and strength.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

40 day fast-Expect Miracles Everyday

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I can't believe it's already that time of year!
We've been sharing the new video the church released like crazy! We're giving out pass-along cards like candy on Halloween. It's such a fun time of year and even better to be serving as a representative of Christ, sharing the message of his glorious birth!

If you haven't seen the new video yet, go check it out!!!
A Savior is Born

So, this week, Hermana VerHoef and I decided to begin a 40 Day Fast. We wrote out a list of anything that could possibly distract us from the work of salvation, and we are going 40 days without doing any of those things! I love stuff like this. It keeps me motivated!!! We've had so many blessings and tender mercies this week too.

Tomorrow, we have a zone conference with a general authority, Elder Packer. Hermana VerHoef and I were asked to perform for him. I am so excited! We are singing together. I'm so excited to learn from him and receive revelation from God!

We've also been asked to perform for a musical fireside that our mission is putting on. Tonight, we're headed down to Groton, Connecticut to do a practice for it. I am so excited to travel the mission again! I'll be singing "O, Holy Night" and Hermana VerHoef is going to play the cello. She is an INCREDIBLE cellist. We will be performing next Sunday in Warwick, Rhode Island and again on Monday night in Harvard Square!

We're so blessed to share the message of the Savior's birth through music! It's the best way I know how to share my testimony. :)

Ether 12:4
Have a great week, everyone. EXPECT MIRACLES EVERYDAY.
I love you, all!

Love,
Hermana Webber

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Feliz Dia de Accion de Gracias!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Oh, boy. I've got sooooo much to be thankful for...

This Thanksgiving was the most special thanksgiving of my life. Our investigator, Rene, was baptized.

So, here's the rundown:

After working with Rene for 5 months, he came up to us last Sunday and told us he wanted to be baptized. I was absolutely stunned! He wasn't ready to be baptized on Sunday though, because he had some issues with the Word of Wisdom. He was still drinking coffee and smoking. We were really devastated, because he was supposed to leave to go back to Guatemala on Wednesday...

Well, on Wednesday, we had a missionary meeting called Return & Report for all the trainers and trainees in Weston, Mass. with our mission president. We went through the temple and it was a really special day.

Anyways, we had talked to President Miller about possibly talking to Rene about the issues he was working through. Rene met us at the Weston chapel and we translated for him and he had a little interview with President Miller. President Miller asked him if he'd been able to cut back on the coffee and tobacco and Rene told him that he had. He asked Rene when he was supposed to leave for Guatemala, and Rene said on Friday (which was news to Hermana VerHoef and I!), and so President Miller asked him if he would be able to stop drinking coffee and smoking. Rene said he wasn't sure because he'd never tried before... And President challenged him to do it. Rene accepted and President asked him if he wanted to be baptized the next day! On Thanksgiving! And Rene accepted!!!

So, on Thanksgiving, instead of having a big turkey dinner, we had a baptism.

It was one of the most spirit-filled baptisms I've ever witnessed. Rene has changed so much in the past five months we've been meeting with him. He has truly repented of his past and is a new person. His son, Carlos (who was baptized just one year ago), baptized him. He wept as he came out of the water and hugged him. We all wept.

I think I was sent to Boston for this man.
This family has changed my life.

I love the work. I never want to come home! I could live everyday for the rest of eternity as a missionary, and I plan to do so!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ truly is transformative. It has taught me how to love. I've experienced such a pure love for Rene and his family and I will never be the same. I have so much to be thankful for:

A beautiful family who loves and supports me
A Savior who knows me
And the opportunity to share the message of the Restored Gospel with the world.

I love you all! Count your blessings, for they truly are many!

Love,
Hermana Webber
